Beech Briquettes – Compressed logs are fantastic for so many reasons, they are made from wood flour created from sawmills. They are formed into a log with no additives and squeezed under pressure to bind them together under high pressure resulting in a perfect log that lasts for ages, each briquette log is the same as 3 kiln dried logs. As they come in boxes they are easy to stack too, saving space when compared to storing firewood.

Briquettes are clean, efficient and an ash content of only 0.5%.

Suitable for stoves, fireplaces, firepits, pizza ovens.

• Break the Briquette into 2-3 pieces
• Place two firelighters in between the briquette pieces
• Light the firelighters using matches or a lighter
• Wait for a few minutes until the briquettes have flamed
• When the fire is established add more briquettes as required

Best to light these with our natural firelighters, saving on the cost of kindling.

Store these briquette boxes in a dry place like a garage or under the stairs.

  1. Jane Rails

These are good and last a long time, the only fault is that cost per box when buying smaller quantities.
Very easy to get lit and burn well.

  2. Helen Goodwin

Really good! Burn Well, easy to light.

  3. Dough Shack

I run a pizza truck in the Hampton Court area and we use these beech briquettes and the silver birch.
The briquettes are great for getting the pizza oven to temperature and the silver birch gives that authentic stone baked taste.

  4. James Cook

These burn really well in my Morso stove. I can feel the difference in the heat coming from these briquettes and I prefer them to the other types.
You should always keep a box of these for the really cold days.

  5. Woodstove pizzas

I use the pizza briquettes for my pizza oven they are great, you need to mix a little bit of kiln dried wood with them to get a bed of ash for them to sit on. Find pictures of my oven on Facebook woodstove pizzas

  6. Tom Speller

These are multiple times better than wood logs in a pizza oven. They burn slow, hot and with a tall flame which curve around the roof of an oven. Beware however, 2 briquettes is sufficient to power a 60cm brick oven for 30mins of cooking time – I ordered 20 boxes meaning I have way too many. Best broken with chisel and hammer.
